What aspects of the course were particularly difficult? How could your guide/
instructor have remedied this? Please explain:
--Various forms of traverse movement across the ice (French techniques)
What parts of the course were particularly rewarding? Please explain:
--Learning to trust the front points and the gradual improvement in
confidence that the crampons really do hold.
At anytime did you feel uncomfortable or unsafe with the course? Please
explain:
--No - safe at all times (in spite of the cold).
Were you confident with your guides/instructors? Did they satisfy your
expectations? Please explain:
--Yes.
Did you feel the course was well organized? Were there any aspects of the
course that you felt needed improving? Please explain:
--The course was very well organized.
Did you learn and do all that you expected? Were there any parts you felt
were missing from the course? Please explain:
--I learned a great deal about ice climbing. Even if the only thing I go away
with is to keep the heels down, trust the front points and small-step, then
I my ability has already improved many-fold.

--Very rewarding - one of the most interesting and challenging activities
I have ever participated in.
