IGK Policies and Terms of Agreement

All clients must agree to our policies and terms of service before any climbing instruction, guiding, or tour session begins. You can download copies of our Policies and Terms of Agreement form at the bottom of this page. This document must be signed and submitted to an employee of IGK no later than the day of the scheduled session.

    Registration & Waivers:
  • Participants are required to fill out our on-line: Registration Form, Policies & Terms of Agreement, and Release of Liability form.
  • For insurance purpses, e-mailing us JPEG files of your passport, foreign visa registration card and address are also neccessary.
  • No session will be offered without the prior recieval of these neccessary forms and files.

    Deposits & Payment
  • Sessions will not be booked without a 20% deposit.
  • Parties of more than four participants will not be booked without a 50% deposit.
  • Full payment is due on the scheduled day of the outing.

    Cancellations & Refunds
  • Cancellations must be made no less than three days in advance of the scheduled outing to avoid forfeiture of the your deposit.
  • Parties of more than four must make cancellations no less than one week in advance to avoid forfeiture of the original deposit.

    Rescheduling & Weather
  • We ask that rescheduling be done no less than three days in advance.
  • Cancellations due to rain or snow made on the day of the outing is without penalty and IGK will gladly reschedule.
  • Once a session has started and deteriorating weather conditions force a retreat from the locale of activity, no refund will be awarded.

    Personal Liability & Insurance
  • For insurance reasons, no outings will be booked without the following legal documents: passport, foreign visa registration card, and address of residency in Korea and/or resident address of home country.
  • Passport, foreign visa registration card, and address may be sent via jpeg file to iguidekorea@ iguidekorea.com or to our mailing address listed below.
  • IGK insurance policies applies according to Korea law; but does not apply to the laws of the participant's country of citizenship.
  • IGK nor any IGK associate instructors and/or guides assume any liability for injuries or death. All participants are completely responsible for all medical and hospital costs associated with any injury, rescue or evacuation that exceed IGK's insurance policy.
  • All participants must read and sign a Policies & Terms of Agreement before the outing.
  • All participants must read and sign a Waiver of Liability and go at their own risk.

    Specific Medical Conditions
  • All participants should inform IGK of any recent injury, illness, or surgery before signing up for a session.
  • Participants should also inform IGK of any specific medical conditions such as allergies, asthma or any other medically related conditions.
  • We ask that participants with any specific medical conditions consult a physician and IGK before signing up for a session.

    Other Specifications
  • We ask clients wear loose-fitting clothes, tennis shoes or hiking boots. We also ask that you try your best to bring appropriate clothing in accordance with the weather.
  • Clients with shoulder-length hair or longer should bundle, braid or keep their hair concealed with either a cap, bandana or head band.
  • Clients who are interested in the Trad, Ice and the Multi-pitch courses should have either taken both our Beginning and Intermediate courses beforehand or should inform us that you have had equivalent climbing experience.
  • For single-day sessions, payment does not include the meals, beverages or travel expenditures to the agreed meeting place of destination.
  • Costs for commercial accommodations are not covered by IGK; however, IGK will voluntarily assist and organize accommodations to meet the convenience of our clients' needs.

    I AM 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, AND I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE "TERMS OF AGREEMENT". I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS A PROMISE NOT TO SUE "THE COMPANY" AND/OR "THE AGENTS" AND THAT IT CONSTITUTES AN INDEMNITY FOR ALL CLAIMS. IF I AM THE PARENT AND/OR GUARDIAN OF THE PARTICIPANT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND AND EXECUTE "THE AGREEMENT" ON BEHALF OF CHILD/WARD.

    I hereby sign this agreement on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs and assigns.
